Intelligent Infrastructure Advancements
Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) is more than a new wire—it’s a catalyst for secure, sustainable retrofits across smart buildings and industrial sites. This session shows how SPE extends IP and power to field-level devices, bringing sensors, actuators, and cameras into the OT/ICS cybersecurity program. We’ll map SPE to IEC 62443 and zero-trust concepts; show how it improves visibility, segmentation, and asset management; and share architectures for brownfield upgrades that reduce cabling, energy use, and cost. Attendees will learn deployment patterns, security controls, and pitfalls, with real-world examples of SPE enabling IT/OT convergence without rip-and-replace.
