Wireless Innovations
Modern hospitals rely on seamless wireless connectivity as much as electricity or water to support patients, staff, and visitors. From clinical applications and medical devices to critical building systems, compliance, and secure communications, reliable networks are essential. Yet many healthcare facilities still depend on infrastructure never designed for today’s density, mobility, and resiliency needs. In this session, the presenter will share lessons learned from more than 15 wireless deployments in Veterans Affairs hospitals. He will explore the challenges unique to healthcare environments and show how scalable in-building wireless infrastructure can meet stringent reliability and compliance standards. Attendees will learn how to evaluate existing systems, design for both current and future capacity, and apply best practices to deliver resilient connectivity in one of the most demanding environments for ICT professionals.
