Having the courage to submit a proposal to speak in front of an audience can be difficult for many. This three-part session aims to ease the anxiety and instill comfort in presenting. Part 1, the preparation (knowledge), will encourage confidence in sharing your expertise, explore the use of inspiration from past presenters, successful methods of presenting, and how to submit a convincing proposal. Part 2, engaging and memorable (understanding), will highlight that you are the expert and people want to learn from you, methods for creating engaging visuals to support your verbal message and avoiding data deep presentations. Part 3, the act (application), addresses the importance of being yourself and not over rehearsing, eye contact techniques, overcoming mistakes and forgotten thoughts, and the most important part, decompression.
