Terrance (Terry) Kalka, Director, DC3 DoD-Defense Industrial Base Collaboration Information Sharing Environment (DCISE)
The U.S. Defense Industrial Base (DIB) is a primary target for advanced cyber adversaries seeking to compromise sensitive defense information. Securing this vast ecosystem, which includes the DoD, DIB partners, and academic enterprises, is critical to maintaining the Joint Force's technological edge. This session will provide an in-depth overview of the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3), a Federal Cyber Center at the forefront of this mission. We will explore DC3's multifaceted lines of effort, from digital forensics and cyber training to its pivotal role in facilitating public-private partnerships. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the voluntary DIB Cybersecurity (DIB CS) Program, which provides a framework for information sharing and collaboration with over 1,300 DIB companies. The session will also clarify the requirements for mandatory cyber incident reporting under DFARS 252.204-7012 and highlight the resources and no-cost services DC3 offers to help defense contractors enhance their cybersecurity posture, detect malicious activity, and improve operational resilience.
