Jim Walters, RCDD, RTPM, OSP, DCDC, PMP, CISSP, is a Construction Manager for Meta, helping lead delivery of the largest single-campus data center project in the United States, a next-generation facility designed to provide more than 2 gigawatts of compute capacity to power Meta’s AI and cloud platforms.
Before joining Meta, Jim served as Director of Telecommunications, Electronic and Cyber Security for Mason and Hanger®, a Day and Zimmermann company, where he guided the global design of secure, mission-driven federal facilities.
Jim’s public-sector career spans several high-impact leadership roles with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he was recognized as an expert in both Cyber Security and Information and Communications Technology. His assignments included serving as the Operational Technology Branch Lead in the Army Control Systems Governance Office at Headquarters, Department of the Army in the Pentagon, and as the Facility-Related Control Systems Program Manager at USACE Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Prior to his HQ roles, Jim served as the ICT and Cyber SME for the USACE Louisville District, supporting the design and construction of mega-projects vital to the nation’s critical infrastructure.
Today, Jim brings decades of federal, mission-critical, and hyperscale experience to the rapidly evolving world of AI-ready data center construction—bridging ICT, OT, cybersecurity, and large-scale program leadership.
