Paul has over 34 years of experience in the cabling industry, developing, researching and managing high performance premise cables and electronic component systems. He has participated in the standardization and industry working groups of NEMA, IEEE, ISO/IEC, TIA, Open Alliance, and the NEC. During the development of augmented category 6 cabling, he chaired the TIA TR-42.7 Telecommunications Copper Cabling Systems subcommittee. As a Principal Engineer at Panduit, Paul is responsible for supporting Structured Communications Infrastructure and Fault Managed Power ecosystems. Through previous employment, he hosted a successful Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) plugfest and established the UL PoE Certification Program, both in cooperation with the Ethernet Alliance. Paul also chaired the SPIRE Smart Building infrastructure assessment criteria task force and co-chaired the UL 1400-2 Fault managed power cable specifications development group. He is co-author of six patents related to the design of copper and optical cabling.
