Kaschit Pandya is the Chief Information Officer of the Internal Revenue Service, where he leads the agency’s information technology organization in close coordination with finance and human capital leaders to support mission delivery at scale. With more than a decade of IRS leadership experience, he is responsible for the systems and operational capabilities that enable the annual tax filing season and support the collection of more than $5 trillion each year through the nation’s tax system. During his tenure, the IRS has modernized core infrastructure and expanded the use of automation across critical processes and taxpayer-facing applications. These efforts have strengthened reliability and improved the agency’s ability to perform during filing season, where technology execution directly affects service delivery and public trust. This work is grounded in integrated planning that aligns investment decisions with workforce capacity and operational readiness. Kaschit previously served in several senior executive roles at the IRS, including Chief Technology Officer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Stony Brook University and an MBA from Rutgers University.
