Justin Steele is the Value Stream Leader for Iron Bank within the Department of Defense's Platform One initiative and serves as a Program Manager with Applied Research Solutions. He leads the strategic direction of one of the DoD's premier software supply chain security programs, focused on securing containerized software, accelerating secure software delivery, and strengthening the software supply chain across the Defense Department. With more than two decades of experience spanning cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, communications, and federal technology, Justin has built a career at the intersection of innovation and mission delivery. His work centers on modern DevSecOps practices, software supply chain security, container security, AI-enabled software assurance, and enabling secure software at enterprise scale for the U.S. Department of Defense. Before joining Platform One, Justin served as General Manager at Docker, Inc., and founded several successful technology companies, including InfoSiftr, Ameralinx, and 1Velocity. Throughout his entrepreneurial career, he launched innovative technology businesses, secured domestic and international investment, led high-growth organizations, and successfully exited multiple startups. Justin brings extensive expertise in software supply chain management, product strategy, federal business development, startup leadership, and emerging technologies. His passion lies in helping government organizations modernize software delivery while improving cybersecurity resilience through automation, open-source innovation, and secure software development practices.
