David Conkle

David Conkle is the Director of the Data Capabilities Division within the Department of the Army G2, where he leads the modernization and management of five operational data platforms. In this role, he oversees the Army Intelligence Data Platform (AIDP), the primary system of record within the Army’s MI Corps, supporting daily operations for approximately 15,000 intelligence analysts and personnel worldwide. Prior to becoming a Department of the Army Civilian, Mr. Conkle retired from the U.S. Army after serving 25 years. His active duty assignments included, Executive Officer to the Commander, US Cyber Command; J2, Joint Special Operations Command; Commander, 207th MI Brigade (Theater); G2, 101st Airborne Division (AASLT); Commander of an Intelligence Squadron within a US Army Special Mission Unit. He has served as the S2/G2/J2 for multiple combat deployments as well as the J2 in support of OPERATION UNITED ASSISTANCE in Liberia (the mission to combat Ebola).
