A Signals Intelligence Analysis Technician is a high-level warrant officer specializing in signals intelligence operations, responsible for analyzing complex intelligence data, operating advanced technical systems, coordinating the enterprise, and providing actionable intelligence to senior leadership at all echelons. The role requires expertise in signals collection, technical tradecraft, and often language proficiency to support critical national security operations. They serve as primary technical advisors and mentors, developing training standards and fostering professionalism across intelligence teams and commands. CW2 Devyn Hearn entered active duty in November 2010 as a 35M (Human Intelligence Collector) and transitioned to 35P (Cryptologic Linguist) in 2013, subsequently specializing as a 352N (Signals Intelligence Analysis Technician) in 2022. CW2 Hearn’s duty assignments include the 502nd Military Intelligence Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, where he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2012-2013; the Defense Language institute in Monterey, California; the 741st Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Meade, Maryland; the 715th Military Intelligence Battalion at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; and the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas, where he deployed in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce from 2022-2023. CW2 Hearn is currently serving as the G2 SIGINT Advisor at the Network Enterprise and Technology Command at Ft Huachuca, Arizona. Among CW2 Hearn's military education are the Defense Language Institute Chinese-Mandarin Basic Course, Advanced Individual Training for both HUMINT and SIGINT specialties, Target Digital Network Analyst Course, Military Cryptologic Continuing Education Program Phases 1 and 2, numerous enlisted leadership courses, followed by completion of Warrant Officer Basic and Intermediate courses. CW2 Hearn has accumulated over 220 credit hours in various professional studies, including acoustics, cybersecurity, intelligence, and film. His technical certifications include FCC Amateur Radio General License, National Cryptologic University advanced coursework, and SANS certifications. CW2 Hearn is happily married to his wife, Sierra, and resides in Sierra Vista, Arizona with two rescue dogs. He is committed to lifelong learning and advancing signals intelligence capabilities across the force.
