Engaging Younger Generations to Manufacturing
We all know the demographics for the manufacturing industry. One is dominant- old, and the other; younger generations (referring to most everyone after gen X) are completely disinterested in the manufacturing field. I believe this is due to a lack of understanding of the exciting, fast paced, and incredibly technological nature of the business, as well as a total lack of engagement from nearly all businesses/organizations in our wonderful industry. I believe that this needs immediate change or there will be an incredibly difficult gap to fill, especially as shops become reliant on programmers and technologically savvy people, as opposed to the mechanics and work horses of the past, and that is what I seek to shed light on from a young persons perspective.

Gen Z Is Coming - What You Need to Know for Your Business
With approximately 10,000 baby boomers retiring every day, it’s more important than ever to attract the best employees you can hire while dealing with an ever-shrinking talent pool. Although the past decade has focused on Millennials, Gen Z has arrived, and they are “wired” completely different than their Millennial counterparts. In this session, you’ll learn the characteristics of your newest employees and how to acclimate your company and your leadership for their arrival.
