The Ever-Changing Manufacturing Landscape for Small to Medium Shops
We live in a world of "I want it now" and "consumer customization" which in many cases has changed the landscape of manufacturing from high volume/low mix to low volume/high mix. What does this mean for small to medium shops? This session will focus on how automation helps companies tackle the shift to high mix/low volume manufacturing. With small to medium sized companies in mind, we will discuss "right sizing" production equipment. Right sizing can translate into a major cost and floor space savings for companies looking for smaller footprint automation cells to meet their production needs. We'll also address the importance of having equipment that is easy to use - even for companies that have little or no previous experience with automation equipment.
