Using Hydraulics in High-performance Punching and Cutting of Rollformed Products
In this presentation, we will address common misconceptions regarding the use of hydraulics, explore alternative methods of punching and cutting, and explain the pros and cons of using hydraulics based on lessons we have learned over the past two decades. We will also tie in a collaborative R&D project between TEKFAB and Oregon State University, where we investigated new territory in order to understand how cylinder cycle times are affected by real-world variables. The audience will leave the presentation with an advanced knowledge of how incredibly fast cycle times are made possible with the proper application of hydraulics today.
