Across the country, educators and employers are working to strengthen talent pipelines into skilled careers. However, many systems struggle to identify and support student strengths early enough to guide them into technical pathways where they are most likely to succeed. This session explores strategies schools, CTE leaders and workforce partners can use to recognize emerging student talent earlier and connect those strengths to technical education pathways, credentials and workforce opportunities. Participants will examine practical approaches for strengthening alignment between career exploration, technical programs and industry needs. Through examples and discussion, attendees will gain insights into how earlier recognition of student strengths can support stronger pathway participation, improve program alignment with workforce demand and help educators guide students toward meaningful career opportunities.
