SkillsUSA advisors play a critical role in helping students connect competitions, classroom learning, and future careers. This interactive session is designed specifically for advisors and instructors who want strategies for guiding students beyond the competition floor and toward long-term career success. Participants will explore how SkillsUSA competitive events and industry-recognized credentials serve different but complementary purposes in career navigation. Advisors will learn how performance-based experiences become credible evidence of job-ready skills, how to help students articulate those skills with confidence, and how to use credentials as proof points in classroom-to-career conversations.
