CTE students are earning valuable credentials, but many still need support connecting those achievements to real opportunities after graduation. Employers increasingly seek young talent who can work safely, communicate effectively, and contribute professionally from day one. How can educators help students bridge that gap? This evidence-based session explores practical classroom-to-career strategies that help students translate credentials into confidence, employability, and next-step success. Participants will examine how CareerSafe supports advisors and educators through industry-recognized safety training, employability skills development, and ready-to-use instructional resources that fit naturally into CTE programs. The session will also highlight examples of how safety and employability credentials can be embedded across four-year program pathways to strengthen student preparation over time. Attendees will leave with ideas and tools that help students connect their learning to resumes, interviews, work-based learning, and career pathways while building stronger outcomes for programs, schools, and industry partners.
