This panel will focus on the practical implementation of Zero Trust as the security foundation for the Department of War’s next-generation architecture. Since Thunderdome’s core is a transport technology leveraging software-defined wide area network to dynamically route traffic, panelists will provide a unique, dual perspective on its success: both the identity-centric controls enabled by DOD Identity, Credential, and Access Management and the resilient network foundation provided by the underlying transport. The discussion will show how this combination is essential for unifying disparate networks, enabling the Mission Partner Environment, and delivering secure, resilient capabilities to the warfighter- from the enterprise core to the tactical edge in the Indo-Pacific.
