Special education leadership moves beyond meeting IDEA reporting requirements to using data as a tool for continuous improvement. In In this session, the IDEA Data Center (IDC) will join with state and local special education directors to share lessons learned about how an SEA – LEA partnership can move practice beyond a "compliance-only" mindset to foster a strong data culture. Presenters will share real‑world examples of how IDEA data and LEA determinations can inform decision‑making that leads to improved student outcomes. Participants will also explore how intentional SEA–LEA collaboration helps LEAs use their data confidently, strengthen data quality, accelerate continuous improvement efforts, and ultimately drive meaningful change.
