Educational Leadership: Leading with Purpose
This session is designed to empower educational leaders to lead with purpose by developing a clear, actionable approach to leadership growth within their schools, departments and districts. Grounded in a district-wide leadership framework, this session will guide participants in identifying purposeful practices that strengthen leadership coherence, build capacity, and support continuous improvement. Participants will explore a model leadership framework and then use structured tools to outline or refine their own. The session will introduce a practical scope and sequence for leadership development that includes: • An administrator work plan template aligned to district leadership priorities • A structure for staff leadership growth discussions with that cultivate reflective, mission-driven practice • Sample leadership growth discussion topics and questions that promote purposeful dialogue • A suggested timeline for monitoring leadership growth across the school year • A model for effective, purpose-driven administrative evaluation Additionally, attendees will receive a sample annual timeline for implementing the full leadership development scope and sequence. By the end of the session, participants will leave with concrete tools, a clear plan, and a renewed sense of purpose to guide leadership development within their own contexts.
