Motivation Matters: Using Authentic Strategic Incentives to Drive Instructional Excellence in Special Education (Room 556A)

Participants will examine how one district implemented structured authentic incentives that motivate students with disabilities while also recognizing the efforts of educators. These systems are designed to reinforce instructional goals, support behavior interventions, and increase participation in learning. Through real examples, participants will explore how incentives can be aligned with instructional priorities, Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and positive behavior supports. The session will demonstrate how incentive-based practices can create a culture of achievement, motivation, and collaboration that benefit both students and educators.
