Speaker(s):
SANDRA ELLIOTT, Board member of DTRI and former Chief Academic Officer, TouchMath, Dyscalculia Training and Research Institute; Elliott Street Consultancy
Advocacy around dyscalculia is working. Legislation is in the works in more states, research studies are increasing and effective instructional strategies are beginning to be instituted with more formality and adherence to High Leverage Practices and evidence-informed work across the United States and other countries. Join Drs. Elliott and Wall for a lively session as they share the latest research and trends in legislation around dyscalculia and it's implications for screening, diagnosis and intervention across all Pre-K -12 classroom settings. You will also use the 3 most effective strategies to solve a number of math problems and be given a new checklist for teachers and administrators to help recognize these practices in the general education, MTSS and special education.
