Advancing Equity: Practices for All Learners
Effective co-teaching does not happen by chance—it requires intentional, strategic leadership. This session focuses on the leadership systems necessary to support high-quality co-teaching, including purposeful scheduling, meaningful professional learning, and ongoing coaching and feedback. Drawing on the facilitator’s experience as both a co-teacher and program administrator, the session will bridge research with actionable practice by providing practical tools leaders can use to strengthen implementation. Participants will explore a scheduling guide, a classroom observation feedback tool, and a co-teaching coaching matrix designed to support classroom visits and coaching conversations. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and resources they can implement immediately to strengthen co-teaching in their schools or districts.
