Amelia O’Brien, CMP is director of meetings and convention services for the National Automobile Dealers Association. Approximately 24,000 new car and truck dealers, manufacturers, and industry suppliers attend the NADA Annual Convention and Expo. In addition to the Annual Show, NADA attracts dealers and stakeholders to various conferences including Board of Directors meetings, committee meetings, Capitol Hill Fly-Ins, Auto Shows and others. Amelia is responsible for all of the registration, housing/hotel contracting, hotel function space assignments, board of directors’ meetings, VIP logistics, and various Board and committee budgets. She has been a meeting professional for over 15 years, previously working at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Talley Management Group, Precision Meetings & Events, and Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel.
