Michael Dunlap serves as vice president of the Schomp Automotive Group in Denver, and is co-owner of Mercedes-Benz of Farmington, BMW of Fairfield, Porsche Salt Lake City and the Schomp Subaru, Hyundai, Mazda, Ford and Nissan dealerships. Dunlap joined the Schomp Automotive Group as director of business development after several years working in public relations, regional sales and marketing for both BMW and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Dunlap spearheaded the opening of a new BMW franchise in Fairfield, Calif., in 2021 and was recently awarded a Volkswagen franchise. These two dealerships represent a major expansion for the Schomp Automotive Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned business that has operated for 81 years in the Denver area. Dunlap's automotive experience began when he worked at the Alem International Management public relations and marketing agency where he executed programs for Land Rover, Volvo, Jaguar, BMW and Rolls-Royce vehicles. Rolls-Royce subsequently recruited him to be its southern region marketing manager, progressing to roles within the network development, sales and marketing departments for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and BMW of North America. Dunlap serves as chairman of the legislative action committee for the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association Board and serves as a board member on multiple local and regional organizations.
