Jon Stehle completed his fourth term as a City of Fairfax Councilmember in 2024 and has been a resident since 2007. He previously chaired the City’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and served on the Green Acres Feasibility Study and Branding Advisory Committees. Professionally, Jon is the Director of Intergovernmental Partnerships at AGA. He previously held leadership roles at Tyler Technologies, MITRE, and the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), where he received a GAO Meritorious Service Award in 2013 for his contributions to the High Risk program and Key Issues website. From 2011 to 2021, Jon served on his townhome condominium’s Board of Directors, including five years as president, where he led strategic planning and transparency initiatives. A Butler, PA native, Jon earned a B.A. in History from Washington & Jefferson College, a Master’s Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh GSPIA, and a Master’s Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been together since high school and have two children, Zoe and Cooper. An avid athlete, Jon has played and coached ice hockey and lacrosse at various levels and now enjoys coaching his kids in Fairfax Police Youth Club lacrosse and Reston Raiders Ice Hockey Club.
