Mary E. Peterman MPA, CGFM, CPA, is a public-sector solution architect and thought leader with nearly 30 years of executive financial management experience in local and federal government organizations as well as the private sector. Mary currently serves as the Director and Chief Financial Officer at the Farm Credit Administration. She has supported various other local and federal government organizations as a financial management executive and subject matter expert in internal controls, risk management, systems, accounting and reporting. Mary is a Past National President and Past National Treasurer of AGA. She has served on numerous chapter and national committees and boards. She has authored numerous articles on financial management and leadership challenges, published in AGA’s Journal of Government Financial Management and other national peer-reviewed publications and is a prior member of the AGA Journal’s Editorial Board.
