Kevin Young

Kevin has over 31 years of experience in federal auditing, data analysis, and investigative support. He is a Senior Executive Service member and Chief Information Officer at the Department of State, Office of Inspector General (OIG). Previously, he was the Assistant Inspector General for Technology Services at the Department of Education OIG, overseeing IT audits, data analytics, and security. Before that, Kevin led the Strategic Analysis & Research Division at the State Department OIG, establishing forensic accounting and data analytics programs to identify fraud and vulnerabilities. He also spent 19 years with the U.S. Army Audit Agency, serving in various leadership roles, including Audit Manager in Korea and Deputy for Applied Technology. Kevin holds a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State and two M.S. degrees in International Management and Public Administration from Troy State University. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner, CPA, CMA, CIA, CISA, and holds multiple risk and compliance certifications
