Lelia Lawson is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Zylotex Inc, a pioneering company in the textile industry. She is also the Research & Development Specialist at Davey Textile Solutions Inc. With a BSc and MSc in Human Ecology (Textiles & Clothing) and currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta, Lelia's research focuses on regenerated cellulosic fibres from hemp feedstock. Her extensive experience in the textile industry spans over 20 years, specializing in industrial personal protective clothing. Lelia's continuing passion lies in hemp and its potential to become a cornerstone of the bioeconomy revolution. Under her leadership, Zylotex is at the forefront of innovation, dedicated to advancing sustainable lyocell manufacturing and fostering collaborative efforts for a greener future.
