30th Signal Battalion
LTC Thomas L. Stall serves as the Commander, 30th Signal Battalion. LTC Stall is a native of Clarksville, Tennessee. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Signal Corps upon graduation in 2006 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. LTC Stall's first assignment was as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer for the 579th Signal Company, 210th Fires Brigade at Camp Castle, Republic of Korea. Following the completion of his tour in Korea in 2008, he served as a Platoon Leader for Charlie Company, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Special Troops Battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and deployed for 14 months to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Upon returning from deployment, LTC Stall attended the Signal Captains Career Course and later moved to Fort Carson, Colorado where he served as the S6 for 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. In 2011, he again deployed to Afghanistan in support of OEF. Upon his return, LTC Stall moved to Fort Belvoir, Virginia where he served as an Operations Officer in the G33 for NETCOM / ARCYBER and later took command of the 596th Signal Company, 302nd Signal Battalion. Upon completion of the Command General Staff College in 2017, LTC Stall reported to the 54th Signal Battalion at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait where he served as the Battalion Executive Officer. Following his time in Kuwait, he and his family moved to Hawaii, where he served as the 307th Expeditionary Signal Battalion Executive Officer and the 30th Signal Battalion S3. From 2020 to 2025, LTC Stall served as a deputy division chief for the J8, US Space Command at Peterson SFB, Colorado and as a deputy division chief for the J6, US Special Operations Command at MacDill AFB, Florida. LTC Stall holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, the Valorous Unit Award, the Army Superior Unit Award, the Basic Space Badge, and the Air Assault Badge. LTC Stall is married to the former Christina Glover of Clarksville, Tennessee and they have two children, Luke (11) and Emma (9).
