Brian Call is the founder and producer of GRITTY, a media brand centered on western hunting, conservation, fitness, and life in the outdoors. His path into hunting was shaped by a deep love for the backcountry, where he honed his abilities as a dedicated bowhunter pursuing elk, mule deer, and black bear throughout North America. Since launching GRITTY (originally Gritty Bowmen) in 2015, Brian has grown it into one of the most recognized and trusted hunting media brands, known for authentic storytelling and real-world experience from the field. Today, Gritty Films are a major focus of the brand, featuring cinematic, long-form hunting stories that highlight the physical and mental demands of serious backcountry pursuits. Brian’s films often draw from his own training, preparation, and time in the mountains, capturing both the hardships and rewards of the hunt. Outside of filmmaking, Brian remains active in long-form conversation through the GRITTY Podcast and is a strong advocate for public land access and ethical, sustainable hunting. His work is defined by an honest, no-nonsense approach, always grounded in a deep respect for wildlife and wild places.
