Mr Corey formed Corey and Associates Business solutions to assist industry customers with their strategic focus, understanding customer needs and improving their business outcomes.
Prior to forming his company, he worked as Director of Business Development with Raytheon and Collins Aerospace focusing on advanced warfighting and command and control solutions.
Mr. Corey earlier served 36 years in the US Navy, retiring as a Rear Admiral and Program Executive Officer for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons. As PEO he was responsible for 9 Program Offices (PMAs) and the full life cycle support of the Navy and Marine Corps’ Unmanned Air Systems and Strike Weapons.
He served operationally as an F/A-18 pilot in Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 86, VFA-146 and in command of VFA-192, forward deployed in Japan. During these tours he participated in Operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Provide Hope, Deny Flight, Iraqi Freedom.
His shore tours include service in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV N88/98) staff where he served as the F/A-18 requirements officer and as the deputy for Strike Aircraft and Weapons Plans and Requirements.
He has defense acquisition experience as a test pilot, program manager and executive. He served with teams to develop, test, certify and deliver manned and unmanned aircraft, weapons, radars, targeting pods, electronic warfare systems, software and mission planning systems to the joint and international forces. He led the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program Office (PMA-242) and Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWC-WD).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois, is a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, and holds a master's in National Security and Strategic Studies from the US Naval War College.
He and his wife Debbi live in Leonardtown, Maryland and are the parents of 2 sons who are serving Naval Aviators in the Navy and Marine Corps.
