Lieutenant Colonel Rodriguez assumed duties as the Assistance Chief of Staff G-6 in June 2025. He is a native of Orlando, Florida and was commissioned from the United States Naval Academy in May 2007. Upon completion of The Basic School and Basic Communications Officers Course, he was designated a Communications Officer.
Lieutenant Colonel Rodriguez’s commands include Company B, 7th Communications Battalion; Headquarters and Support Company, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 38; Headquarters and Support Company, 6th Marine Regiment; Headquarters and Support Company, Communications Training Battalion.
His staff assignments include S-6 Platoon Commander and S-6A, 6th Marine Regiment; Camp Baharia Communications Officer-In-Charge, Regimental Combat Team 6 during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; Assistant Operations Officer, 7th Communications Battalion, Deputy N-6 Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific; Communications Planner, I Marine Expeditionary Force G-6; Regiment S-6, 6th Marine Regiment; and the J-6 Director, Task Force Southwest 19.2 during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. His latest assignment at Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group includes the Assistant Operations Officer and the Director of the MCEN Enterprise Operations Division.
Lieutenant Colonel Rodriguez holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University, and a Master of Military Studies with distinction from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. He holds graduate certificates in Systems Engineering and Artificial Intelligence from the Naval Postgraduate School. Additionally, he holds a graduate certificate in Data Science from Indiana University. Currently, he is working towards his Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (“C” device), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four gold stars) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Lieutenant Colonel Rodriguez is happily married to the former Marianne Ordonez and has four children: Reagan (8), Margaux (7), Emma (4), and Alexander (7 months).
