Joe Levy, CVE, is a venue safety, security, and operations executive with more than three decades of experience leading high consequence public assembly environments across sports, entertainment, and cultural institutions. He is Managing Principal of Levy Strategic Advisory, LLC, where he advises organizations on operational readiness, emergency preparedness, leadership alignment, and the integration of emerging technology to strengthen real time performance. Joe brings a practical, operator grounded perspective shaped by decades inside complex live environments where preparation, clarity, and execution directly affect outcomes. He has held senior operational leadership roles at Barclays Center, where he led venue wide safety and security strategy, emergency action planning, and cross functional readiness for hundreds of major events annually. He also served in executive operations leadership at National September 11 Memorial & Museum, working closely with NYPD, Port Authority Police, and other public agencies to strengthen risk assessment, staff training, and crisis response coordination in one of the most symbolically and operationally complex environments in the country. Joe has been deeply involved in advancing industry standards through International Association of Venue Managers, serving for nine years on the Venue Safety & Security Committee, including terms as Vice Chair and Chair. He also served as Chair of the AVSS and continues to serve as AVSS faculty, delivering instruction on emergency planning, operational readiness, supervisor development, and leadership under real world conditions. Beyond IAVM, Joe is an active member of InfraGard National Members Alliance and serves as Alternate Team Lead for its Major League Athletics Working Group, supporting public private collaboration focused on safeguarding large scale sporting events through coordinated planning, training, and intelligence sharing.
