Dr. James Matney is the Senior Vice President for Technology at MSM Technology, LLC, directing technical strategy and innovation for enterprise IT solutions supporting federal clients. With over 35 years in government and Defense IT, his expertise spans cybersecurity, cloud, and program management. Previously, he led a Defense Sector at GDIT serving DISA, Defense Agencies, and the Pentagon. A retired Air Force Communications Officer, Dr. Matney also served as a Navy Civilian at INDO-PACOM J6 and deployed with the Army as Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense CIO. He holds a doctorate in Computer Science (Cyber/IA) and certifications including CISSP, CCSP, and PMP.
