Alexandra (“Alex”) Helwig is the Business Development Intelligence Analyst – Team Lead for Chenega Corporation’s Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). In this role, which she assumed in January 2024, she leads intelligence-driven business development efforts supporting enterprise growth across Chenega’s mission-focused portfolio. Mrs. Helwig has been part of Chenega Corporation since 2018 and has developed extensive expertise in strategic research, opportunity analysis, and pipeline management. She is responsible for overseeing subsidiary business development pipelines, directing intelligence processes, and ensuring the delivery of actionable insights that support long-term corporate growth while driving results aligned with customer mission priorities. Prior to her current role, she led business development efforts for Chenega IT Enterprise Services (CITES). Earlier in her tenure with CITES, she served as an Investigative Analyst supporting the INTERPOL Operations and Command Center and the Office of General Counsel at INTERPOL Washington. In this capacity, she supported international law enforcement and legal operations by drafting and processing Red Notices, providing emergency response support and serving as a translator for engagements with delegations from INTERPOL member countries. An active member and Emerging Leader with AFCEA, Alex has supported the organization since 2015 through participation in multiple committees and leadership roles. These include service on the Homeland Security Committee, Small Business Committee, and as Vice President of Small Business for the AFCEA Belvoir Chapter. In 2023, she received the AFCEA Distinguished Young Professionals Award in recognition of her professional contributions.
