Irina Carnevale is an assistant director at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, in the Forensic Audits and Investigative Service team. Irina is an experienced auditor examining U.S. federal government programs for fraud, waste, and abuse. In recent years, she led audits on fraud and abuse risks in pandemic emergency lending programs for small businesses, the U.S. civil aircraft registration program, and the largest U.S. health insurance programs - Medicare and Medicaid. Her areas of expertise include illicit finance, beneficial ownership, organized fraud, and corruption.
