Ryan Vaughan is an Assistant Director with the U.S. Government Accountability Office. During his time at GAO, he has led work examining a range of foreign policy and international trade issues, helping provide nonpartisan, objective information to the U.S. Congress. His recent work includes projects on conflict minerals in Africa, U.S. foreign assistance to the West Bank and Gaza, World Bank procurement, and trade-based money laundering, among other topics. Prior to joining GAO, he earned his Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California. He also obtained undergraduate degrees in Economics and International Affairs from Pepperdine University.
