Stephanie Dyer

Stephanie is currently project staff for the Statewide Autism Resources and Training (START) Project at Grand Valley State University, an adjunct instructor in the GVSU School Psychology program and recently served as a Special Education Supervisor at Clinton County RESA. She has extensive experience with Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS), education-based evaluations for autism, teaching and training on FAPE in the LRE, inclusive practices, and MTSS, and trainer/coach development. Working to create equitable and inclusive systems is a passion for Stephanie and drives her work, resulting in her participation in a number of state initiatives, most recently content development and delivery for the Michigan Association for Administrators of Special Education (MAASE) Paraeducators program and the Developing Inclusive Leaders course for building principals and OPTIMISE, a task force of the Michigan Legislature committed to attracting, preparing, and retaining special educators. Stephanie was previously with Michigan’s MTSS Technical Assistance Center (MiMTSS) for 10 years, primarily focused on district/school implementation of PBIS, including the intensification of behavioral interventions and FBA / BIP. Stephanie is a school psychologist and BCBA by training and has worked in numerous ISDs and districts in Michigan throughout her career.
