Amy Creed brings more than two decades of experience in education across Northern Virginia. She earned her master’s degree in special education from The George Washington University, completing a specialized program focused on supporting students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. She also holds a certificate in Education Leadership from George Mason University. Ms. Creed has served as a special education teacher in a wide range of settings, from private day schools to public school programs, working with students across the full continuum of services. Her classroom experience includes both highly specialized programs for students with significant needs and inclusive environments where she collaborated closely with general education teams. She now serves as the Executive Director of Specialized Instruction for Alexandria City Public Schools, where she leads an office of more than 50 staff members dedicated to strengthening instructional practices and ensuring compliance across the division. Throughout her career, Ms. Creed has been deeply committed to advancing equity and closing opportunity gaps for students with disabilities.
