She is an adjunct professor at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts where she teaches courses in special education. She has 30 years of experience in the field of education, having worked in both private and public schools as a special education teacher and board certified behavior analyst. She holds a Masters degree in Special Education from Simmons University, a Specialist degree in Behavioral Education from Simmons University, and a Doctorate in Special Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Sheila’s expertise spans special education teaching and administration, clinical behavior analysis, collaborative practices, and inclusive program development. Her interest in high‑functioning burnout is grounded in research, personal application, and years of guiding educators and graduate students through the hidden challenges of sustaining their work. Her focus is on the development of reflection tools and strategy frameworks that help leaders build resilient, human‑centered systems where both staff and students can thrive.
