Zach Smith is a highly experienced education professional with 18 years of expertise in various roles within the field. His focus lies in promoting equitable and inclusive teaching practices, implementing tiered support systems, fostering communities of practice, and leading school system transformations. With a strong foundation in improvement science and systems thinking, Zach strives to reimagine educational outcomes for all students, particularly those who face significant challenges in their learning. He has held diverse positions ranging from substitute teacher to university professor. He resides in Fresno California with his wife and their four daughters. Zach's academic achievements include a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in liberal studies, master's degree (M.A.) in special education from Fresno State University, and a doctorate in education leadership (Ed.L.D) from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
