Amanda Hughlock has been dedicated to the field of special education since 2014, bringing a deep commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping educational systems better serve them. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Child Development before completing a Master’s degree in Special Education, building a strong academic foundation for her work with children and families. Amanda began her career as a Life Skills Teacher in a combined middle and high school setting, where she supported adolescents with complex learning and developmental needs. Through this role, she developed extensive experience designing individualized instruction, fostering independence, and preparing students for life beyond the classroom. She later transitioned to the early childhood end of the educational spectrum, serving as a Preschool Coordinator and Special Educator. In this role, Amanda focuses on early identification, inclusive practices, and building strong partnerships with families and educators to ensure young learners receive the support they need from the very beginning of their educational journeys. Amanda holds multiple New Hampshire teaching credentials, including N–3 Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, General Special Education (K–12), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Her diverse certifications reflect both her broad expertise and her dedication to meeting the needs of a wide range of learners. Passionate about systems change, Amanda is committed to improving educational structures and practices to achieve the best possible outcomes for students while also supporting and empowering the educators who serve them. Through her leadership and collaborative approach, she strives to create environments where both students and staff can thrive.
