Jenna Basile, PhD, is a Researcher at American Institutes for Research (AIR). Dr. Basile earned her PhD in Research Methods for Special Populations and master’s degree in special education from George Mason University, and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and human development from the University of Rhode Island. With experience as a former special and general education teacher, she provides technical assistance and coaching to strengthen Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) implementation and evidence-based instruction and leadership for students with disabilities. Dr. Basile designs and studies instructional and systems-level supports for students with disabilities, including professional learning for educators and administrators, and leads mixed-methods evaluations of special education initiatives. Across her work, she partners with district and state leaders to apply research-aligned solutions that support system implementation, data-informed decisions, and improved outcomes for students with disabilities.
