Timara Davis, PhD, is a Researcher at the American Institutes for Research (AIR). Dr. Davis obtained her PhD in Exceptional Education from the University of Central Florida, master’s in special education from Western Carolina University, and bachelor’s from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. With a strong background as a dually licensed elementary and special education teacher coupled with her research experience, she leverages her expertise in both general and special education to provide targeted technical assistance to strengthen instructional practices and system implementation. Additionally, Dr. Davis is experienced in partnering with districts to evaluate systems and improve outcomes for students with disabilities through practical, research-aligned solutions. Through all of her work, she demonstrates a strong commitment to bridging research and practice by applying evidence-based findings to inform real-world decision-making.
