Becky Ryan’s passion for supporting children with disabilities began with her college admission essay—and has guided her 23-year career in the Christina School District. A graduate of the University of Delaware with degrees in Elementary and Special Education, she also earned a Master’s Degree and Administrative Certificate from Wilmington University. Becky began as a first-grade special education teacher and inclusion coach, later serving as Assistant Principal of the REACH program supporting students with significant disabilities. In 2015, she became Principal of the Christina Early Education Center, leading a team of more than 100 staff serving over 400 young children and helping grow the program into a Delaware model for early intervention. For the past four years, Becky has served as Director of Special Services, leading efforts to strengthen inclusive practices, build family trust, and improve districtwide programming and compliance. She is also passionate about professional learning, having taught at Del Tech and Wilmington University and presented at state and national conferences.
