Behind the Fire Systems That Protect

Behind the Fire Systems That Protect, is a hands‑on exhibitor experience that gives participants an inside look at the fire protection systems that quietly safeguard lives, schools, and workplaces every day. At the Thompson Safety booth, attendees will interact directly with real fire protection equipment to understand how fire risks are detected, controlled, and prevented.

Participants will explore a live fire alarm control panel, learning how alarms communicate, initiate alerts, and trigger coordinated responses during an emergency. A real sprinkler head allows attendees to see how suppression systems activate and why proper design, inspection, and maintenance are critical. The experience also highlights Thompson Safety’s work installing and servicing fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, and specialized suppression systems, reinforcing how layered fire protection works together to reduce damage and save lives.

This immersive experience pulls back the curtain on fire protection—transforming complex systems into clear, hands‑on learning moments that connect safety technology to real careers in the skilled trades.
