A leader in special education, I have 30 years of experience collaborating across disability categories and settings. My service record includes Illinois Early Intervention Birth to Age 3, general elementary education, K-2 specialized programming for students on the Autism Spectrum, K-8 resource work, and secondary self-contained and co-taught instruction. Additionally, I have held leadership positions, including Assistant Director of Special Education, Department Chair, Lead Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, Supervising Teacher, and Mentor. Currently, I serve as the Director of Special Education for Dunlap CUSD 323. My research interests include teacher preparation, professional development, and the efficacy of teachers working with culturally and linguistically diverse students with disabilities.
